PTA Plans Database of Parent Email Addresses

In order to improve communication with our school’s parent community, the PTA is planning a new initiative to collect parents’ telephone numbers and email addresses. At all future PTA meetings and other events where parents are present, such as Parent Teacher Conferences, we will be asking you for this information so we can create a database of parent contact information. We will also be asking what grade your child currently attends so we can take your name off our list when he or she graduates.

Please be assured that this information will only be used for school-related communications and will not be made available for any outside use. We hope that by having this information, we can better keep you informed of school news that may affect your child, update you on school events, distribute requests from school administrators and teachers for parent assistance, and provide you with announcements about upcoming PTA meetings, parent/teacher committee meetings, and other events open for parent participation.

Communication with parents is an essential part of making MCSM work for you and your child, and the MCSM PTA plans with your help to take a lead role in increasing this communication.
